worker safety is the overriding priority for Integra.
Beginning with the initial bid to the customer, Integra’s proposal will always include safety costs as an element of scope on the total
project. After award, safety issues are further detailed for the owner during the
pre-planning and pre-construction phases. Every member of our project team is personally
charged with scrutinizing safety provisions on the job.
Regulatory Guidelines – Integra maintains full compliance with all applicable safety guidelines
governing the jobsite. However, we self-perform a large percentage of the scope on
each project with our own skilled crafts. And we feel it is crucial to also stay
abreast of the latest advancements in safety for our industry. It is not uncommon
for leadership at Integra to order safety enhancements for the project that exceed
established regulations in order to satisfy the requirements of our own safety program to
adequately protect our workers. Our actions in this area communicate and reinforce
our resolve pertaining to safety with our own team. We have found that this
translates into greater voluntary adherence to safety procedures onsite.
Integra's style of agressively embracing personal stewardship of safety for
the whole project also goes a long way in building the owner's confidence while
"working in their house".
Employee Safety Education & Training – Integra’s pro-active approach to educating our employees on the
ever-expanding issues of safety include the recent completion of OSHA Health & Safety
Certification Training for our entire leadership and field management teams. Safety is
such an important element of our overall business operations that we maintain full-time
ongoing safety supervision in our organizational structure, for communicating our
requirements and collecting constructive feedback directly from our workforce, and to
coordinate safety issues with our customers.
